Simple home hardening steps were taken. The simple things can make all the difference.
This included caulking cracks, vents, cleaning roof and structure, creating defensible space and more.
Firewise® Madera County (FMC) and the Eastern Madera County Fire Safe Council (EMCFSC) collaborate per the 2012 statewide MOU between the California Fire Safe Council and the NFPA Firewise® Communities program.
Working with CAL FIRE and other local agencies, FMC and the EMCFSC are able to amplify collaborative efforts by leveraging scarce resources.
